ORIGINAL: diebolt
Are the XiED's hard plastic in the middle ?
Do you still have to be careful about bending them ?
Should get mine next week, ordered them Thursday morning

RE: Nightrider O2 IED's - Field Test
What a great invention and discussion. I just got the original O2iEDs and just ordered the new XiEDs. Steve said he would give me a full refund (what a great guy)for the unopened O2iEDs. I am wondering if I shouuld keep the O2iEDs for some future purpose (I also have the urge to us them while waiting for the XiEDs) or should I send them back for the refund. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Why not enjoy them till the new ones come. I'm hanging on to mine and let my buddies test them out for themselves before they buy.
If they're as happy with them as I am with mine, I shouldn't have any trouble selling them. That way they don't have to wait.

I think back to not so long ago, weeks as a matter of fact, when we were testing and looking for where they would fail.
Other than a very few that failed Steve's inspection, all others have been in use with riders and from the posts it seems most are very happy.
We all play an important part in the ongoing testing as it will lead to better construction and refinements in the IED, Xied.
So keep posting your views and issues. List your bike and what mods you have done yourself as well as those done by your local wrench.
I for one, am glad that it has worked so well for the vast majority, rather a huge majority.
I will keep reading all the new posts and watching for the one that grabs my interest and it will be back to the lab.
In the mean time, get out there and ride.

ViED
Variable AFR O2 Sensor Inline Enhancement Device for
2006 H-D Dyna
2007 H-D All
2008 H-D All
"Patent Pending"
This is just from the Nightrider Website as of this morning. Like I said, I just noticed this after I ordered the X's. I didn't find the V's in the Comparison Chart the Nightrider provides, so I would definitely like to hear some input.
