Where to install a PCIII on Street Bob?
Hello everyone,
I'm getting ready to install a PCIII on my wifes 08 Street Bob. I'm trying to figure out how to pack this thing under her seat and just don't see how it is going to fit. There is absolutely no room on this bike. Any of you street bob owners have any helpfull hints? Thanks

Wow,
I just can't see how it will fit. I hooked up a CB for her and barely had room for the darn in line fuse! I'm going to tackle it this weekend. Thanks!! Yours is a good looking bike. We just traded her 07 bob in for an 08 bob. She had almost 18000 miles on the 07. The 08 has the grim reaper paint, #4 of 200, V & H big radius pipes, PCIII soon and a ness Big Sucker air cleaner, progressive shocks. If I knew how to upload a pic I'd show it off. It makes my Street Glide look kind of plain.

Hey there flh91. DG here from your local hog group.
Good luck on finding a place to mount it, but like I told you the other night, I had a real fun time trying to get it mounted on my FXSTC. Just take your time, you'll get it on there some how.
Holler if you need any help with it, before or after the install.
And thats one fine looking scoot your wife's riden now!
See ya, Dennis

no smartass at all gundog...
but it's a pain in the **** to mount these on some scooter models. The instructions for my fxstc were just as plain and simple looking as these, but actually mounting it was a challenge and required patients and a few cuts and scrapes to get it right and this one actually looks to be a bit more of a pain in the ****..

Actually I was being a smart ***. I went throught the same thing installing the PCIII on my bike. The instructions are not very well written and there is barely enough room for whats already in there. The install on a Dyna is different than on a Softail, so I can't be of much help. If you look at it long enough you're bound to figure it out.

I,ve a Power Commander on order too. When i fitted the Fuel Pak it was a lot more hassle than the V&H website would have you believe. What did help was to remove the wiring plastic clips etc under the seat. This helped to "rearrange" things so that the Fuel Pak would sit at the top in the centre of the recess. Hopefully the Power Commander will sit there too.

I will be doing this soon and dam that looks like a tight fit from what i have looked at.
My next question is how durable is the PCIII in the elements and weather?
I do alot of riding in all conditions and my bike has set out in the rain at work is the PCIII designed to take the abuse of riding in the rain and possibly getting wet etc i would assume it is as it used on bikes and race bikes you name it but iam just checking.
