Default Plugs & wires worth it

Whats up guys
Does Stock twin cam EFI motor benefit from better plug wires
(IF so which ones) and as far as the plugs go I have had great results in past bikes(not HD) and performance cars with stock replacement NGK iridium's.

Stock are fine and if you want too the SE wires are about as good as you need.

Ngk makes a good plug, I run them, I am running Autolites now.

No, absolutly no benifit from differant wires on a stock bike.

I buy a set of Summit Racing V8 wires, and make 4 sets for $30. I change plugs and wires every 10K. Probably more often than needed. But it's only $7.

One thing to keep in mind that if you use wires the emmit RFI and you ahve a efi bike th at is will cause issues. Seen it been there. I do not recall what wires they used but they where a H/P type wire

I agree, no benefit at all on a stock bike.

Changing wires to a different type or the plugs to a different type can also set codes and defeat the ion sensing system that eliminates pinging by varying the resistance in the secondary ignition circuit.

OK ..gotcha on the wires..I did not think they would give you jack

As far as the plugs go I think NGK would be fine as Harley offers the Splitfire plugs in their screamin eagle label.

But why not ask.....Has anyone one with a EFI bike had a problem with "Codes, Etc" with other than stock plugs??

I believe there was someone here on the board that set a code with champs, but I can't remember who it was.
