on my 06 I turn run switch to run position, turn ign. on, then wait for engine light to go off befor starting... Now I noticed to day and after installing commender PCIII/usb afew days ago that after doing the steps mentioned above; the light goes off then I start engine and about 3 seconds later it comes back on again then goes off after just a couple seconds. also if I do the above steps but dont start engine right after light goes off the light will come back on a second time then go off after a couple seconds. someone please tell me if this should be a concern to me.

 

It sounds like you have thrown a code of some type. Probably has to due with the install of the PCIII but it shouldn't be a problem. Check the Tech Forum. There is a lot of info there about the codes and what they mean. I'm pretty sure there is something there that tells you how to reset them. If it happens again I would have my dealer check it out.

I noticed this above post speeks to 04 - 05 bikes only, I will think it applies to my 06 also? and give it a try, will also check tech form in future... thanks alot guys for info.
