walt,

You have private mail also.

Yes the T-Max conversion is a complete replacement so what you do with SERT doesn't matter. Boy its pricey though, new ECM w/Auto tune, new throttle body, etc. Look here: http://shop.thunder-max.com/shopexd.asp?id=139

I was led to believe all I had to do was purchase the TMax auto tune, not a complete new throttle body. Am I wrong?

Walt,

From the link it looks to me like you needa TB,a new AC backplate, etc. Call Pete at Zipper's (410-579-2828 ext 127) and talk to him about your options. I haven't installed a T-Max on a MM bike.

FXRP that is good to hear because you are on of the first posters who has not been moaning about gas mileage. I've been leaning towards the Tmax an I guess you have help me make up my mind.

Paradox,

There's a lot of folks getting good mileage from TMax. The canned maps are very rich, race type rich and get lousy mpg. When you get yours contact mevia private mail and I'll help you set up agood starter map for power & mpg.

I got the SERT and dyno tune for more than $1k. I got 77hp and 88 torque and 40 to 45 MPG. How am I doing?

I've got the SERT on my '01 Ultra, which has, of course the Magneti Marelli EFI, and I'm not happy. It can never hold a good tune. A good friend of mine found an air leak in my EFI. I'll try one more time with the SERT.

Can I use the TMax after putting an SERT map in place? I run stage I, and am thinking about going to Stage II 95" kit.
As has been said, the MM EFI is not compatible with the Thundermax. You're pretty much stuck with what you've got unless you want to spend the big bucks to convert to Delphi EFI. I don't know about MM SERT maps, but Delphi SERT maps are not compatible with the Thundermax. Delphi uses MAP for load whereas the Thundermax uses throttle position for load.

I got 43-47mpg on my stage 1 88 with Andrews tw26a cams on the 3000 mile Sturgis trip last year.
