Default Which Thundermax to Order

Wise Ones,

I'm confused, there are two Thundermax products listed for my bike (2007 FXDC). Which one do I need:

1.ZIPPER'S THUNDERMAX EFI AUTO-TUNE 01-07 HARLEY ZIPPERS PART # 309-360

OR

2. ZIPPER'S THUNDERMAX ECM FUEL MANAGEMENT 01-07 HARLEYZIPPERS PART # 309-340

Thanks,
Confused Newby Rick

309-360 has the auto-tune feature for closed loop operation
309-340 is just the module, no auto tune, for open loop applications, no O-2 sensors.

Thanks Silvrbill,

I guess that means "if" I want the autone feature, spend more money. Will that keep me from having to dyno tune the bike? If it "auto tunes" then I should be able to "plug and play"? Yes/No?

Thanks,
Rick

If you want auto tune get the 309-360, yes, it's plug and play. No dyno.

I’m thinking of getting the Auto Tune for my 05 Deluxe 98” /37’s /gear drive / GMR heads/V&H Long Shots. I like the look and sound of the Long Shots but they have no bungs for the O2 sensors. The questions I have are: Does the AT come with the 2 bungs that you would need to weld into your pipes and were would the bungs be positioned to give you the best readings?

The bungs don't come with the tuner. They should be mounted 4-6 inches from the head.

This is bizzare. If you order only the 309-340 it's the module only. If you order with auto tune it becomes a 309-360. However the upper module will say 309-350 and lower will say 309-340 on mine. It effectively becomes a 309-360.
