Any info on these 02 enrichers??
Might be the trick to richen up the mixture for my 08 SERK that I am fine with leaving stock.

RE: Any info on these 02 enrichers??
I purchased my '07 Road King Classic used. It had a Screamin' Eagle air cleaner with stock exhaust. I was concerned about the bike running extra leandue to the air cleaner. I had my bike dynoed to check the air/fuel mixture and it was running very lean. I really want to keep the stock exhaust because I have the only motorcycle in a gated community of over 1000 homes and do not want to give the home owners associationany reason to put restrictions on motorcycles.
I recently purchased a used stock air cleaner and thought about putting iton. However, I came across the Nightrider cables, bought them andinstalled them on my Road King. I did not notice any difference in performance.
I have no idea if they slightly richen the mixture as advertised because I have not had a chance to have the bike dynoed again. I hope they work, but if they do not, they did not cost much and were worth a try rather than spending the $$$ for a fuel programmer.
If they work as advertised, enrichening the A/F ratio by 0.5, they should be helpful, especially on a stock bike.
I will eventually have the bike dynoed again and let you know how they worked out for me.

Well fellows i called these folks. Talked to them. I got them badboys on the way .Will ship 12/24/07. Will be next week before i get them installed. Got to go to Pharr,Tx this coming week. They should be here by time i get back. 80.00 bucks to me it sounds pretty good. All this is a resitior inline that changes voltage to ECU. which tells it to richen it up. When i get them on a report will follow. Stay Tuned.

I had a Fuel Pak on my EGC for about 6 mos/6000 miles, and bought a set of the O2 enricheners (IED's) from Nightrider about 3 weeks ago. I removed the Fuel Pak and ran on the stock ECM for about a week before I got the IED's just to refamiliarize myself with the stock bike. Then I put the IED's on and have been riding it for about 3 weeks/1000 miles. My bike configuration is stock engine, stock air filter, Rush slipons with 1.5" baffles, and my impressions (no thermometer readings, just riding impressions) are as follows:
Stock ECM- engine runs good, but very warm. At steady slow speed (<25 mph) part throttle operation the engine has a slight "surge" which is likely attributable to lean AFR. (Surge has been there since new, but this has also been the case with every post-1990 bike I've ever owned.)
Fuel Pak- engine runs coolest with the FP. However, engine occasionally hiccups when cold (not often, maybe once every few hundred miles) and while the sub-25mph "surge" felt with stock ECM is minimized, it can still be felt on occasion.
IED's- Runs cooler than stock and slightly less cool overall than the FP. However, should work as good as or better than FP when stuck in traffic as IED's alter AFR in all throttle conditions associated with closed-loop mode (including idle) and FP only alters AFR off-idle. IED's offer seamless integration (can't even tell they're there) with no hiccups, and sub 25 mph "surge" is completely gone.
Have noticed no significant change in fuel mileage with IED's as compared to FP or stock.
My opinion is that they are worth the money and work as advertised. The are only slightly less effective than a dedicated aftermarket EFI controller, but cost 1/3 to 1/10th as much. They also don't pose any of the problems associated with the aftermarket systems since you are using the stock ECM. They are easy to install, and just as easy to remove if you have a problem with something & need to take the bike in for warranty work.
It's a simple solution to the lean AFR problem for those with stock engines or light modifications (Stage 1 or less) who just want to richen the mix a bit for cooler engine temps & longevity. For this purpose IMO it's a good option.

RE: Any info on these 02 enrichers??
These enrichners are only going to work when the engine is running in closed loop, right? So if you have AC and exhaust mods will you still be running lean in open loop? Does anyone know what ohm this resistor is or how to figure it out? What about buying the resistor at Radio Shack and installing it in the O2 wire.

I did not notice any seat of the pants difference. My bike was runningfine with no issues before and is still running the same.
I never had any surging -I was only worried about the bike running too lean. The bike seemed to be running as strong as my'07 Heritage did with V&H exhaust, cams, single fire ignitiion and a heavily modified carb.
The bike dynoed with the following HP and torque numbers before the enricheners:
Max HP - 75.34
Max torque - 85.85 with a very flat torque curve
These numbers seem to be a bit high for a supposedly stock bike. The bike was dynoed at an authorized Dynojet independent shop. Of course, every dyno is a bit different.
According to the Dealer, the bike has the stock factory program in the ECM. I recently got to talk to the original owner and in addition to the air cleaner, he had a set of V&H pipes and a PC III on the bike which he took off before he traded the bike on on a 2008 Streetglide.
As I said, my biggest concern was the running lean. I hope the enricheners are really working to add the 0.5 to the mixture.

If you go to the Nighrtrider site, they show the exact size resistors and the wiring diagram so that you can do it yourself. The advantage of purchasing the Nightrider enricheners is that they are Plug & Play. They come already wired , with the proper factory matching O-ring seal connectors on each end of each resistor cable. You simply unplug the wire from the O2 sensor to the ECM and insert the Nightrider cable between the factory connectors. It is that simple.
The usual disclaimer applies here - I have no affiliation with Nightrider whatsoever. I am only a customer. In fact, until I have my bike dynoed again, I do not know if I am a satisified customer - I hope I am.

I sent an email to Nightrider website who sell the 02 ENCHANCERS or ENRICHERS, or what ever you wish to call them,as im thinking of fittin them to my 2007 Dyna FXDC.
And this is what i received back,i hope this is of some help.

If you go back to the Fall 2006 Enthusiast Magazine published by Harley-Davidson, they stated that the new 96CID engines can have exhaust and air cleaner upgrades done without having to re-map the EFI system. Few Dealers, shops or riders ever picked up on this little piece of information. But it did not take riders long to realize the engine was very hot idleing and cruising (closed loop mode which is under 4000 RPMs and under 50% throttle). So knowing that the fuel map is rich enough for heavy throttle operation left me looking for a way to fix the very lean closed loop fuel ratio of 14.7:1 controlled by the narrow band O2 sensor. This lead me to develop the O2 IED (and the LC-1 WBO2 upgrade). The Nightriderupgrades are aimed specfically at the issues of the new engines controlled by HD's O2 sensor.[/align]
