my win xp restart during flash itsecm with sert.
the bike doesn't run.
i've message: bad os, fix by dealer.

can i save ecm?
can i mantaine VIN to use again my registered sert?
i need some help....

From what I understand if the data stream is interupted before the flash is complete you can crash the ECU. You will have to take the bike to the dealer and have them resurect the ECU.[:'(]

I'm pretty new to the SERT but I don't think you have damaged the hardware, just scrambled the program. The software that comes with the SERT package can only modify the tables that the ECU uses. It can't reload the program. I think however that your dealer can. Not sure of the cost.

This is true. You didn't fry the ECM. But probably scrambled the software program in it and it can be easily reloaded at the dealer. If you have a good rap with the service mgr. he may do it for free. One question..did you disconnect the SERT cable, shut off the bike, re-boot the computer and try a re-flash? If not try it. Don't forget to turn the "run" switch on when re-loading. Plus, make sure you wait 2 minutes after the upload before you attempt to start the bike. After a successful upload you should hear the fuel pump run for a few seconds.
