I see a 3 wire deutsch connector next to battery box. The connector is not connected and has a rubber plug. Is this an accessory 12v tap that I can use? I'm installing Kuryakyn heat demons and need accessory power.

If the deutsch connector is not a tap, what's the best approach?

 

Nop. that's not it. that's the Data Link connector!

anyone have any thoughts?

 

Look in front of the battery and behind the tank. I think it's a 4 pin plug with a cap on it. Sorry I just don't remember for sure
