Hi Folks. I have a new '08 Sportster, and I just installed the Harley Hands Free security system this weekend. Also installed the optional siren. Had to take it in to have the FOB "married" to the new TSSM. Seems to work OK, and the siren goes off if you move the bike, but I can't get it to switch to "chirp mode." I've followed the directions in the Electrical Diagnostic Manual, but still no "chirp" when the system arms.

Any ideas?

If its the same as the factory system, I had the same problem, the bike must be on its sidestand and the motor stop switch on, I was trying to do mine whilst sitting on the bike in the upright position.

 

Nevermind. I followed the procedure again, this time starting with the ignition "on," and the alarm now chirps.

But does anyone know how to set the sensitivity setting? It takes quite a bit of movement to set the alarm off. I'd like to make it a little more sensitive...

 

IIRC, starting with the new hands free security system that came out with the '07 models the sensitivity is no longer adjustable.
