I have a 2005 Heritage Classic with a mini tach (67201-04A), the tach still lights up but the needle doesn't move. Have not had time towork on it yet so, no, nothing has been checked yet. I'm looking to see if this is common or if there are any suggestions on what to check first? Any thoughts???

Check the pink wire that comes out of the back of the Tach and make sure it is tight and also making good contact on the other end. It should tye in to your Speedo. You will have to memove the dash. 3 wires out of tach : power/ground and signal. You have power and ground so eather signal not getting to tach or tach is fryed.

 

Check your signal wire as already mentioned. If the light works, you have +12 and ground. Same thing happened to mine after 4-5 years, I bought a new one.
