08 sert, 103 kit and fly by wire--need help

Default 08 sert, 103 kit and fly by wire--need help

I have an 08 street glide. i did the 103 pistons and barrels, SE performance heads and 257 cams, V&H true duals and rush 2.5 mufflers. Bike does 105HP and 106TQ....but, the TQ drops from85 to 70 between 2 and 3oooRPM and then by 3500RPM back to 90. The tuner says its a fly by wire issue and he can't get it out.....something about 100% throttle at 3000RPM andabove. Anyone able to help. I am not well versed in the lingo so whatever you write i will pass on to him.

The 08 TBW will not allow the throttle blades to open fully until you pass 2750 rpm, I do not believe however, that it would cause the toruque dip you describe, BigBoyz just dyno tuned an 08TBW bike and didn't have issues with the torque curve, the difference is the bike they did was 96 inch and no cams. If I get a chance to talk to themtonight I will see what he has to say and ask him to read this post.

thank you BVBOB. so here are some more details--TQ maxes out at about 4700RPM. Hp maxes out at 6200RPM. It pulls like a mother from 3200 rpm all the way up to red line. The AF ratios are a mess down low but the tuner--who i dont think has a lot of experience with the SERT--can't get it any flatter. It 3000, the trouble spot--AF is 11. at 4500 af is 15. after that its pretty smooth at about 13. so i think it is a cam and tuning issue. thank you again for your help. john
