TMax install just done
Just fitted the TMax to my softail fxst, took me about 11/2 hours, fairly straight forward, but when it came to starting the first time it would not fire at all! used the fault finding flow chart and after a bit of hair pulling and a couple of beers! found it was the settings in the "main relay LOC setting" had a "1" in it instead of a "2"
Re initiated it and re loaded map and it then fired up first crank!
Anyway its all good now, did one short run, and no decel popping at all! and is just like night and day from stock.
Hopefully it will now auto tune and improve even more!

RE: TMax install just done
Well i've done about 120miles now and my grin keeps getting bigger everytime I ride it!
I cannot compare to any other form of ECM, sert etc. as this is my first Harley and Tmax install. But it now sounds and goes like I thought a Harley should!
Anyone contemplating one, go for it, as its just the best! (well I think so! )
By the way I live in oz so have no affiliation with Zippers etc.

Banjo,
Thanks for your recomendation of the ThunderMax; I am assuming you got the Auto-Tune version = TMAT, and for your tip which may come in handy one day.
Also, you should not be riding in miles, mate, we use KILOMETERS down here! Did you buy the TMAT locally or from an overseas vendor? I am watching on eBay and see the listing price go down in Aus dollars day by day! US listed price is $668.95 currently.
I have a 2004 FXST-I and after having worked with (or against sometimes)thru a DFO tuner, SERT, then adding aTwinscan II Tuning Aid, I am certainly looking forward to something that is basically Plug & Play and best of all AUTO tuning...........
Cheers,
John (sometimes in Brisbane)
