It completely replaces the Harley ECM.

I have tried stock, Fuelpak and a Power Commander. The ThunderMax is the only one of the 3 that gets my bike to run the way I think it should.

The T-Max is anECM replacement. If you are interested in a replacement controller you might also look at Daytona Twin Tech’s “TCFI Gen II controller”. Both systems rely on feed back from wide band o2 sensors to manage fuel; either system seems to work very well. I opted for the T-Max and have not regretted the choice one bit, but I think the DTT would perform just as well.

Good luck with it.

I can't say it's the best, as it's the only thing I've used. That said, it does everything I was looking for, so what else is there?

I just the T-Max w/ Auto Tune over the weekend. My Dyna seems to run more smoothly and is a little peppier. I wouldn't say it is like night and day, however. My understanding is the bike will continue to improve because of the autotune, so right now I only have a few miles on it.

You'll be happy with the T-Max. It will change as you get the itch to upgrade your ride, and you will!![sm=badbadbad.gif][sm=bling.gif][sm=lildevil.gif][sm=lol.gif]

The T-Max will make the bike run cooler, it uses a fuel map similar in function to the PC III but the wide band o2 sensors allow the system to fine tune its self over a much wide range of conditions. You can also alter the settings manually over a much wider range. Much like the ECM on you car, the T-Max performs adjustments on the fly and updates or if necessary modifies the fuel offsets every time you run the bike.( The short answer is that it cools theengine by adding more fuel.)
