Default stage II AC question

If I'm going to upgrade the AC to stage I (along with the necessary fuel management) what's wrong with going to a stage II AC? I realize the stock football cover won't fit a stage II filter.

I've run both and will stick with the stage 1. There is nothing to gain, but it pushes your right leg a little farther away, which may suit you but just plain irritated me. I also found it uncomfortable on long trips.
For me its function over form.

Good point I haven't thought about.

I have the Big Sucker II w/PC-III. It does get in the way of your right knee a little bit. I don't mind it. I'm ready to upgrade to 98 cubes, so when I do, the motor will be able to breathe better through the BS II. I bought the custom AN cover that is 8" round and chrome. Looks great.

I already run 96", and the stage 1 will take you to over 110". But whatever floats your boat. Like I already said there will not be any performance gains for most builds. Big inch motors are another thing, I havent done any calculations and to be honest I would probably email K&N and follow their advice for any motor in excess of 110".

The stage 1 K&N will flow more than you will ever need.
