More HP from High Voltage Coil?
Does anyone have any experiences with installing a higher power coil on their HD? I am looking at the Dual Tower Nology Profire for my '99 Night Train. Supposedly the bike already had a phase II upgrade, but I do not know if that meant a new coil or not (looks OEM to me!!).

Unless you are running a motor with over 10:1 compression, the stock ignition system will provide all the spark energy you need.
(PS: I don't know much about Nology coils, but their plug wires are over-priced garbage. If you do decide to upgrade your coil, the ones made by DynaTec are the best).

Bruce,
10.5:1 isn't really that high. I ran that much squish on my EVO with a stock coil; no problems.
I was thinking more along the lines of Pro-Street engines, that run upwards of 12:1.
At 10.5:1, it's important that you can adjust how the advance curve comes on. I like the Dyna 2000 Digital Ignition. They do offer a coil to match it, if you feel you need more spark energy. After you install your new slugs, take a long ride to see if spark power is lacking.
