2007 FLHX: installed new bars, ran the wires internally, put on new clamshell switches from Harley. Had to jiggle the ignition switch with a screwdriver a few times to get the tumblers to line up to replace the key switch.
Also installed cruise control. Everything by the book. Plugged it all back in and no pwer whatsoever! No lights, horn, zero in any of the ignition switch positions. Checked batery it's fine.
Circuit tested and have power from maxi fuse to ignition via red wire. However, no power at all returning from the ignition in any switch position via the other 2 wires.
So, my basic question is this: Is it solely the ignition because no power comes from it ? Or, can a bad connection somewhere else further downstream from the main harness, like in the handlebars cause no current to flow from the ignition back to the main harness ?
