This might be a dumb question, however I have just replaced the complete passing light assembly off an Aussie compliance 05 Road King, with a complete passing light assembly of a US compliance 05 Road King (which had the plugs chopped off). The new assembly has one extra Blue wire to each side... the original had 3 wires and the new one 4 wires... blinkers and lights work just fine. Can anyone tell me what the extra wire does???

 

The wires were cut because the assembly is stolen?

It looks like the blue wire is for the running lamp filament within the turn signals.

 

Thanks for the info... I bought the unit on Ebay from a guy with an on-line store, who had over 500 positive feedback sales... he seemed legit...so if it was stolen he is good at his business
