Default The Arlen Ness Big Sucker

The one about 90 bucks at Eastern. Is that the one you can put the simple round cover from a TC ac on or do you have to use the Arlen Ness cover. Might have to get one if I can use my 96 cu in round cover.

Thanks

You can use any cover that would work on the SE air cleaner. What kind of "96 cu in round cover" do you have?
I justbroke my Big Sucker backplate when I tightened the last of the three standoffs into the throttle body. Metal is very thin in this area.

All I have at this point is the round "96 cubic inch" cover that works with the "football" air cleaner.

Would that work or would I need another one? I just hate to spend another 80 to 120 dollars for a different cover. What I really want is a round air cleaner that will look nice and help the rear cylinder get a little more air flow.

If I get the AN Big Sucker I will be very careful when installing and tightening for sure. Thanks for the heads up on that.

Your cover will work. Basically this system will remove the big plastic backplate and replace with the metal backplate from AN. Your cover is a single bolt that goes through the air cleaner element. Your current cover or even a round cover from the old evo's will work just fine.

Yeah, it should work with the stock backing plate. The Big Sucker II is the one that needs a special cover. The filter tapers out, not in like most, and it makes it to wide for the tock cover... I know, been there, done that twice... and as soon as I get it right... the vent bolt to the head worked itself out and snapped the other side (couldnt support the weight of the CV by itself). Oh well, anyone have a spare backing plate they want to sell?
