Default Bank Sensor (Tip-over module) 2000 Night Train

Is there a way to troubleshoot this device, or to bypass it? My Night Train loses its' spark while going down the road and if I cut the handlebar kill switch off/on it refires and runs fine. This sensor is suppossed to do this if the bike falls over while riding, and needs to be cut off/on to reset.

I'd like to try and bypass it before replacing it. Thanks in advance for any advice.
