Is Screaming Eagle the Only One?
Ok so I’ve been toying with the idea of doing a Stage 2 on my 22 SGST. Is the Screaming Eagle the only tuner for this bike that doesn’t void the warranty? Currently the bike is set up with all factory parts including the heavy breather. I did put some Tab 50 Cal slip-ons on. I was told i did not need a tuner with just slip ons. The dealer says they can go straight to a Stage 2 adding an exhaust. For a price of course.

thanks Smitty. This is why I’m asking about this. Am i better off waiting for my factory warranty to be up and going with a “real” stage 2? I mean the bike runs great as it is honestly, but a little more power would be nice. I saw some DK Custom videos on the subject and they’re opinions of some of the popular tune and stage kits isn’t very flattering. And now i read that the EPA is gonna really put a damper on stage kits making them essentially the same as a SE

Stage 2 to be it's best must.
Have an exhaust that works well with your CAM choice.
Your cam choice must fit how you plan to ride it.
The tuner must have the ability to get it right. DYNO is not really necessary for a stage 2 The right map from will recognized company will do fine.
M8 with a good stage 2 is a very noticeable increase in Torque and HP. A Cam tailored to what you want. Not what some post was all that for them.
Pretty good list of CAMs for stage two.
No short cuts do it right or leave it alone.

I' m sorry but i'm going to have to disagree with some people here. A proper dyno tune using the Powervision or TTSMaster tune are absolutely going to deliver the best results. Who does engine improvements and doesn't want to get the most for their money? Do the right thing and have it tuned by a reputable tuning shop. Canned calibrations/Maps are just the starting point.
