PV4 nay sayers
If you read my prior post about my Freewheeler gear selection missing on my dash after installing the PV4 I sent a fuel map support form to Fuel Moto on Saturday. To day on a Sunday Lucas from Fuel Moto sent me a new map for my Freewheeler. I installed the new map and took out for a ride. All problems FIXED an it ran like never before! Just what I was looking for. Who gives that kind of service and on a Sunday? I was pretty much was told I made the wrong purchase for buying the PV4. Well Lucas and Fuel Moto proved I made the right decision!
Thank you Lucas

[QUOTE=60Gunner;21526272]Two threads to say this? FM customer service is great. The PV4 is not. Sounds like you will never need it to actually tune anyway. Good for you.[/
What did I do to you that you wanna be an ***? I like my tuner and works for me, just why does that bother you? You really have to quit your whining about other people’s happiness and find something productive to say.

Sorry. It just gets a little old with all the people that confuse FM's customer service with the best tuner, or cams, or whatever it is they choose to sell. With all the complaints and issues with the PV4, you bought one anyway. Makes no sense. Even dynojet posted here saying it has issues and they're working on it. Hell, there's still issues with certain parameters with the PV2. Problem is, most don't use it as a tuner but a flash device to use a canned map from FM. That's NOT tuning YOUR bike.
Then when someone comes asking what the best tuner is wanting to actually tune with it, they get bombarded with people saying the PV is. It's not the best tuner. For the most part, it works and a better option than most, but not the best. I have a PV2 and I've used the SERT, SEPST, and TTS Mastertune.
Glad your bike runs good. Report back in a few months and let us know how it does in all riding conditions and how your mpg is because a canned map for another bike/trike, even with identical hardware, is not optimal for yours. You might be losing more than you think. Maybe you don't care. The next guy might.
A little advice... Take it for what it's worth. I suggest doing some data runs and tweaking that canned map for YOUR trike the best you can. That canned map is a starting point. Sometimes they work better than others but there's ALWAYS room for improvement. I think you would be surprised how many cells in your VE tables get highlighted for change.
