@Schex @paulmedford will have more info soon, but I feel like I have the compression issue to leaking valves as I hear air hissing from intake but going to get 2nd pair of hands to help me. I'm a beginner here, is this from the pushrods still being messed up? The valves not being seated in there correctly? Will get stuff for a leakdown test for weekend too. I added oil to cylinders and had no change in psi so I think the rings are all good. Going to get video of ckp while cranking engine too soon

Well not gonna be getting answers til next week, I was stupid and broke off part of a wood dowel in the rear cylinder finding where compression was so I'm tearing it apart to get that out... I'll check compression with pushrods out in rear cylinder though and see what happens since I'm digging in there. What a way to end the day

how big a piece?, also the hissing is normal, its the "pcv"system from the crankcase pressure. Im sure you can try and get the dowel out without scrapping it down. the oil takes a few cranks well to build compression, it will always raise compression a bit,

big enough to get it to stop spinning or I at least didn't force it, maybe quarter to half inch of quarter inch dowel. I debated on if it was small enough that it would be crushed/burnt up and shot out the exhaust?
edit- I'm just going to go and rent an engine borescope and see how big it is

A little late but a plastic straw works well.

In this case he don't. Leakdown is defined as pressure loss in percentage from inlet side of an 0.040" diameter orifice to the other where the other side is the cylinder pressure. Notice that when he connects the cylinder, the inlet side drops from 100 to 95 psi.

Assuming that the scale on the outlet is linear and full scale is 100 psi. The front cylinder is reading about 91 psi..

1 - 91/95 = 0.042 or 4.2%.. Kevin has good leak down.. IMO

The $25 price was a huge red flag I suppose. It looked good enough for a casual and infrequent user like me, and once I got the hose replaced it's 'okay'. So I can definitely suggest what not to buy, but I hope someone else chimes in with a good recommendation for a halfway decent tester. Or maybe NAPA or one of the other stores acually rent one?
That tester says it's for fuel pressure not leak down.

That tester doesn't appear to have the proper fitting for HD fuel pressure.

I didn't screw up quite that badly. There's something wrong with the Amazon link. I looked in my order history and lit up the FAERSI leakdown tester that I actually bought. Turns out the cost was about $34, not $25... probably for the 2nd low quality gauge. After seeing your post I went back onto Amazon to get a look. When I light up the link on their page it pulls up the fuel pressure tester, but that's not what I got. I took a snip, maybe can add it here.
Can you suggest a good quality test kit to buy?

Definitely a better choice. Only issue might be whether it has a 10mm plug adapter.

Well the idea of a leak down test made sense with how all over the map this thread was going.
Just get back to basic's to establish engine condition then take the next steps to get the bike fixed.

Lets not open a can of worms about how it's got a piece dowel rod down in a cyl..
Tear the top end all the way down, get everything ck'd and double ck'd and NO shortcuts

If it was mine and had all this happen while I was working on it that's what I would. JMO
EZ_Glide Good Luck. OH You do have a service manual don't ya ????
