Folks, my 2018 Sport Glide with the M8 107 has developed a lag/hesitation off idle that is very annoying. My Power Vision reads throttle position from 0% [idle] to around 8% when the issue happens. Makes smooth cornering pure misery. It also seems to be a bit more prevalent until the engine is up to temp [+/- 240 degrees]. Anyone had this issue?

Try cleaning the throttle body and all the little orfices in it.

 

not familiar with this system
is it a true fly by wire or does it have an idle control servo
fly by wire does not need a IAC so it controls idle by blade angle and should not read zero. there is usually a stop that prevents the blade form actually touching the body but it is a nat's *** clearance.
also FBW when shut down will adv the blade for the next start cycle and could be 8>14 %
on old system not FBW, the tps was biased a few volts, that was before the % measurement thingy came in
you might have to go back to basic and go from there.
also, might check fuel pressure as it will do all sorts of things

 

The characteristics you are describing sound very much like an air leak at the intake manifold, a quite common issue with the stock plastic M8 manifold. This can be diagnosed while the engine is running and at full temp spraying contact cleaner on the manifold surfaces and near the intake seals. If the idle speed changes when doing this you have found your issue. The best resolution is an aftermarket aluminum manifold.

BUT be VERY selective on what you spray
propane with delivery tube is safer to surrounding areas
some use WD40 and straw at seam line
