Default Poor mileage and running cold one Tmax

I've got an EGC with 118000 miles on it with a Tmax.. For the last 10000 miles the mileage had begun to suck. When cold it would run real rough. I'd been messing with the map trying to correct to no avail.. It finally hit as to what could be wrong.. It turns out that wide band sensors with 50000 to 70000 miles on them start to have issues reading AFR at low RPMs, especially cold. If you got that many miles on the 02 sensors, replace them. I did and the bike runs a bunch better. You'll need to give it a couple tanks to see the mileage go up but it will start running better almost immediately.. Go in and clear learned fuel offsets..

How old is the ET sensor? Degradation of that component will add fuel needlessly.

It's original. Probably worth replacing under general principles but I can monitor it easily. I'll check it..

After a couple tanks of gas.. The front cylinder didn't change much but the changed a lot.. Notice that rear is based on changes from the front.. The Green is learned offsets, Yellow previous map, and gray connecting dots are the current map.

I'd been getting about 30 mpg.. Got one at 35 and 32.. The 32 was keeping up with the faster traffic on good flow day.. I suspect it will get better..

Usually Tmax idles at 10 -12 deg. Lower is used for IAC..

Could you share a view of your AFR vs Throttle position? Thanks.

Thanks again Max, I’m going to run this and see if it helps my mpg any.
