Aftermarket fuel pumps: All the same?

^^^^ The unit I purchased spec'd for a '00 or '01 FLH MM injected bike. The next unit spec'd for '02 to '07 Delphi.
I think it's safe to assume that the pressure is set within parameters so that the pressure valve on the manifold can handle it.

MM initially put together the injection system for '95 to '01 MM for the Motor Company and if Harley low bid it's pump replacements, I'm certain that the pressure requirements were spec'd then as well. (I have no doubt that they did that.)

I installed the new quantum pump a few days ago, along with a fuel pressure gauge, and the pump is spot-on pressure wise. It does seem like a good quality pump from outward appearances

I am probably a wuss. But when I bought mine, I got Harley. If I would have seen a name I knew for cheaper I would. But I was nervous about the no name ones. It will leave you stranded. Sadly, like everything they have gone up a lot.

Typically I like replacing Harley parts with something else. But as I said, these were no name brands.
