I guess the S.E. tuner doesn't take into account for guys like me that will gear a Sportster to a 1200 on top of doing the upper end kit. You'll loose your indicator when you do the 883 to 1200 Stage 1 tune if you did the 1200 gearing to. I haven't really screwed around with what the S.E. tuner is capable of but the real easy fix is to just tell your bike it's a 1200t. The 1200t stage 1 tune will bring it back.
Just so you guys know I ran that 1200t tune for a couple years after I geared it when it was just an 883. I did the gearing first. It probably ran a little richer than your average 883 but all that really did was give my 883 a little more power.
The capabilities of the S.E. tuner is actually pretty amazing but you have to be a rocket scientist to figure it all out and I think this is why guys prefer other tuners,
