New PCIII USB install - couple of questions
I just finished installinga newPCIII on my 07 Streetglide. I bought it from Fuel Moto and it was shipped with a pre-installed map. I have a stock 96" motor with the SE hi-flow kit, the factory stage I ECM download and Bassani slip-ons with a 2" core.
After the install, I ran the bike for about 25 miles to see how it felt and it seemed stronger, especially in the mid range. But I noticed that occassionally when accelerating hard from a stop, the bike wouldsputter for a split second on initial roll-on and then go like hell.Is that a sign of too rich a map?
What is a good way to tell if the bike is running in the right A/F mix range, other than a dyno, not too rich or lean - checking plugs?
Also, I'd like to remove the O2 sensors from the header pipes now that the eliminators are in place - anyone know where I could get some kind of plug to screw into the O2 sensor openings and seal them?

RE: New PCIII USB install - couple of questions
Try blipping the throttle at idle, to see if it sputters. Most likely it will.
I recieved the Firmware 2:2:1 update from DynoJet.
From what I understand the PC language is not communicating, and it addresses a few other issues, such as turning knock sensors on improperly.
Sounds like you may need the download.
Remember to calibrate your TPS closed and open setting with the PC111. The manual details this procedure. I used the 9-Volt adapter, when doing this, do to the fact the ECU powers off to the PC111 at ignition on.

RE: New PCIII USB install - couple of questions
thanks for the info. I have firmware 2.2.1 installed so I think I've got the latest. Also, I found that my throttle positon sensor was way off and I just did the reset. So it is very possible that my throttle roll-on sputter was because the TP was not set properly. I'm going for a ride now to check it out.

RE: New PCIII USB install - couple of questions
I put some more miles on yesterday and the stumble was still there - not all the time but enough to bother me. So I checked my firmware again and I had read it wrong last time - it is actually 2.1.2 (not 2.2.1). I called Jamie at FuelMoto and he sent me some new firmware (2[1].2.0.3.elf) and I uploaded it. Hopefully that will deal with the problem.
Anyone else done this firmware update and did it help?
Thanks
