Also, sorry to be a pain, do I need the special injector removal tool? or is there another way to remove these? I don't want to wreck these, they're pricey!
Hi, needing advice. In trying to bring back to life this old Harley, I'm trying to solve my running issue or issues. I found a YouTube video on how to set up the throttle body settings with multi meter. I can get the TPS set first at .275v then cold idle setting 2nd .650v but bike is hard to start and fi does start it backfires and just doesn't want to run. If I back off or counter clock turn the TPS a little bit, it will start and run smooth showing 1.6or7v. when i test drive it runs good for a mile or so, warming up, then backfires, spits and sputters and barely gets me home. Then I start all over getting same results, idle and runs fine in garage when cold. I've changed out and or checked out all sensors fuel pump plugs wires coil etc. My question is, could the Throttle Pos. Sensor be bad. Thanks for any advice. Wayne
I just replaced a TPS on a Honda Civic because it had a dead spot right off idle. They can be checked by watching the output voltage while slowly opening it. Can also watch the resistance, either way, works.
Ok. so just to be clear. The push rods are also non adjustable in a stage 2 set up. Is this correct? Then I could go ahead and put the red injector in.
