Well had a new rear boot installed and the stage 1 race map installed and the pop and stall is gone and the plugs are a nice light brown. BUT the engine clack or knock is still there between 2800 and 3100 rpm when you roll the throttle on under load (up a hill or hard acceleration.). I use 91 octane min. The sound does not happen all the time, usually when the engine is at normal temps or higher. The primary has been checked, oil pressure is good, not making metal. The f#cking dealers don't seem to have the time to trouble shoot the problem, quote from one dealer("HD don't pay us for trouble shooting") they said take the bike out and blow it up!!!!!!! WTF. I even offered to pay the a-holes for there time but no joy on that one!

 

did you ask them if you needed or already had the injectors changed to the 25 degree? they changed mine and solved all my problems. ask shovelhead bob if need the change or if your bike is one that has the recall. MOCO's website wont tell you by the way.

 

I have the 25 deg injectors. Maybe a bad one???? I am not sure can't seem to get the local dealer to check

 

An update to my current problem-went for a ride today and the pop and backfire is still there but didn't die when I burped the throttle. The race map has helped but whats next? Buy a honda
