I want to run my wiring in my bars on a 01 Wideglide. They are 1" chrome mini apes. I planned on taking them off and drilling them instead of getting new bars already drilled. I was talking to a guy yesterday at HD he told me it is impossible to run the wires in 1" bars I would have to change them to 1 1/4 ". I realize it might be a little tight in the 1" but impossible? I'm not sure I'm buying that. So my question is has anyone done it ?

I have 1 inch 16" apes and I ran the wires inside only took a couple of hours

Thanks guys that's what I figured. I guess he was just trying to sell me bars since right after he told me it was impossible he headed right to the parts catalog to show me some they had "That would work for me" supposed to get 4-6 inches of snow today so I guess I'll have time to do this project before I wanted to.
