Does it have spark? I was running poorly. Does it start at all now?

Couldn't test there, but after going through things at the house im leaning towards no (at the time). It starts and idles great now, and did so immediately after coming off the tow truck.

My 07 would stall once in awhile when under half tank. I had 55k miles, so I replaced pump, hoses and filter. Because it ran fine over 1/2 tank I knew it fuel. Plus at 55k, I figured good to just replace all that stuff. I could not find any holes by just blowing on lines, but that is not very accurate either.

Just repalced the coil on 01 for second time. But my 07 is still working. Should one of these days.

What about codes? You can read through dash with kill switch off. Hold reset button in, and turn on bike.

check engine should come on during start up, then turn off. If recent code will come on again. If active code will stay one, I believe. I woiuld check codes. Though on my carbed bikes it didn't crank and cpk were bad. But still worth looking.
Fired up like a champ as soon as i walked it into the garage from the tow truck. Great fuel pressure, bleed down within spec. Two historical codes, b1007 (manual is worthless on this one), and u1301 (probably from when i had dash disconnected last time).

Just another thought, was riding the other day in 100* heat, bike didn't die then, but when i tried to take it to 4krpm it was missing like crazy. Heat related again.

read through the cns diagnostic tree in the manual and im leaning hard on the coil

You can google the codes.

One coil failure seemed to happen more when hot. Ohmed good. One fuel issue happened under 1/2 tank. Sucks trying to catch intermittent problems.

But if you got codes, start there, I think I printed list and have on bike. But with phones now adays not as needed.

U1301 is speedo/tach (probably from das removal during my last foray into the tank)

B1007 Ignition Line Overvoltage Instruments

Both were historical

If you can run it, try running it and see if something pops up. I believe they clear after 50 miles. So not sure I would write them off. Though I am not sure how iong they stay in memory, But It think check engine light will come up

any good way to test these 4 wire delphi coils without the breakout box? i have the manual and know which wire is which, but testing seems really limited without that box.

I ohmed a bad one, and it was with in spec. But it works most of time

But you could ohm, and if bad, it's bad. Probably specs in manual different coils different ohms.

I got used, never used, electric manual off eBay for $40.

Also check for spark from plugs.

Ive also replaced the o-rings on the tank quick connect line (but ive read the safety in there can be a hot start issue so maybe replace that pos).

Soo, after much reading, maybe vapor lock caused by pinholes the line? (But fuel pressure cold here at the house is 60psi, only bleeds down to 55psi if i wait to crank it), it will crank up now cold and fuel pressure will hold steady at 60psi.

No such thing as vapor lock when you have 60 PSI.. It's not a problem for the pressure to drop slightly in the first pressurization.

Check your battery terminals.

Ill recheck, but i had just swapped tender leads (they readily melt when your stupidity forget to unhook them), and made a point to tighten the terminals up good. Covered them both with tape too
