If the ECM doesn't know what gear you're in it displays nothing. It was a possible cause of your issue. The gear ratio being changed in the tuning software to an incorrect one by mistake. But its not an option in the SE Software so.

OP, there are 'gear ratios' on the map/calibration you flash to the bike. you cannot see them in the shitty harley software/product/tuner (why people fall for that thing when there are still much better options available...)
but they are there, trust me.
there is also another parameter for the speedometer calibration to make it read correctly.
if you flash a bike calibration on a trike I believe it throws all these things off. you need a trike calibration, as another post indicated it should be 'A41000999D' - sorry I cannot help more because I never used the 'street tuner' myself for obvious reasons but bottom line make sure that the calibration you are flashing is meant for a trike.
good luck!

In short, what the ecm is seeing for gear ratios doesn't match what's being used, it goes blank..Trikes use different gear ratios. If the file you flashed to the ecm was for a bike the ratios in the file don't match what's in the trike. The ecm gets confused and the display goes blank because it has no idea what gear it's in.
It keeps trying tho. Mine occasionally flashes up a gear, in a moment of brilliance apparently, usually at real low rpms and just for a few seconds. I did change gearing.and use the SE Pro Super Tuner. where that parameter is also not available.
