Default SE Smart Tune Pro questions

Bike is a 2020 Road Glide Limited FLTRK with a SE Stage 1 setup to include the SE Pro Street Tuner. Have recently added the SE Smart Tune Pro and wide-band O2 sensors. This all went together well with the exception of the ill fitting rear O2 sensor hitting the transmission cover, but that’s for another discussion.

The SE software has you load a new base map calibration onto the ecm that the Smart Tune Pro works off of which includes the wide band O2 sensors.

My question is whether is a benefit to running a couple of smart tune recording sessions to update the calibration, load that onto the ecm and have the Smart Tune Pro work off a calibration that is more specific to the bike?

Thanks
Mike

Sounds the same as Autotune that Powervision will do. Fuel Moto had me fine tune the tune they sent me by running a couple of sessions.

Thats exactly what I’m thinking… run a couple of auto-tune sessions, fine tune the base calibration for wide-band O2 sensors and then let the Smart Tune Pro do the work from there.

There is very little dealer knowledge or support with the Smart Tune Pro, so it’s been harder than it should be to figure it all out. FM thinks it is a solid product and the PV supposedly works well with it.

FWIW, that's what I did w/ my Heritage 114...ran a few smart tune sessions & loaded into bike. IMO = doesn't hurt.

When FM sent me the stock improved tune, I then ran an autotune session to fine tune it. I was just running autotune basic since I don’t have the enhanced product with the wideband O2 sensors. Then I loaded the result of that first smart tune session, and then ran a smart tune of that, further refining the result.
