I was getting onto the freeway onramp and got on it with the throttle all the way open until about 75 or so when I merged onto the freeway.

When I backed off the bike was stuck at about 3,000 rpm. It would not go up or down no matter how I moved the throttle. So I made it home which was interesting stopped at lights running at 3,000 rpms and people looking at me like I am crazy lol.

I started it a few times and back up to 3,000 rpm. Then finally it settled down, but after a bit now it is around 2,000 rpm.

The codes are as follows:

P0522 Engine Oil Pressure Switch/Switch Shorted Low
P1511 ETC Power Management Mode
P1514 ETC Airflow Error
P2101 ETC Actuation Error

The bike is a 2018 Road Glide Special with about 10,000 miles on the clock, so not many miles. Any ideas about what I am in for? Thanks!

 

Have you replaced your handlebars with aftermarket bars with internal wiring?
It somewhat common to have issues if the internal wiring was not done to protect the very small wires from chaffing.

Hello and thanks. Bars are stock, no changes there. After I cleared the codes the next day and took it our for a quick ride, it appeared to be normal again. I am going to try and recreate the conditions at various rpms to see if it reoccurs, it is a little unsettling to not know what is up and that it can reoccur. No new codes have popped up but I will report back after some longer rides at wide open throttle settings.
