Default SE Race Fueler or TFI ?

I have to buy Fuel Injection Recalibration kit, but i don’t know what to choose between the SE Race Fueler from HD and a TFI from Dobeck Performance ?

I know that there is a lot of thread on this subject, but i found nothing on the deference between both ?

The SERF is a bit cheaper, but if the TFi as more adjustment, i’ll buy it.....

So, i have read a lot of good comments on TFI on this forum, but if someone may talk to me about the SERF from HD, i will appreciated.

Thanks a lot

All I can tell you is neither one of these units can hold a candle to a SERT or a PowerCommander IIIusb. The fueler takes 180 grids and combines them into 4 areas to adjust fuel. If your looking for performance this is not a way to go, if your looking for a band-aid fuel adjustment then the DFO systems are an option

Hey Doc,
Thinkin' of going the SERT route for a simple Python Staggered/Big Sucker upgrade on my new '07 Deluxe.

Lookin' for the best way to deal with O2 Sensors - use the Closed Loop Bias feature of the SERT to adjust closed loop AFR, or
take the sensorsout of the problem all together?

Any thoughts.

Thanks!

Carew, I don't have any experience with the HD race fueler but I do have the dobeck dfo and it works fine. Installation was easy enough that I did it myself. If you have any adjustment issues thier website and forums will help solve them. If you have had any major engine mods you may want to consider Doc 1's advice and look at the pc3 or sert to get every drop of HP. and torque. If you arechanging exhaust and air cleaner and want to richen it up so it runs strong at a reasonable price you can't go wrong with the band-aid (DFO)imho.

The 02 sensors do a great job of regulating the fuel in the cruise area, max out the closed loop bias table to 798....this will get you in the 14.1 to 14.2 AFR range, there is nothing wrong with this AFR atcruising engine load. We see the engine heat and pinging problemsgreatly reduced with a mild cam and a good tune so there is something to think about.

A half dozen 25¢ resistors will bias the stock sensor outputs to the low 14s. What you want to do for the open-loop is another matter, but unless you're getting pretty wild I'd think you could save some money over the SERT.

I started a thread 'SERT seminal moment' which may or may not help. I dont think that the o2 sensors are a problem, as there are ways to still use them.

ThanksWB!
Printed the info add to my ever-growing SERT notes. By the time I get back to my scoot in Dec, I'll be the smartest guywho never touched a SERT!
