Default SERT Data Recordings

If anyone has done a SERT data recording I was wondering if you could do me a favor.

Look in your data recording where the throttle position is zero and then look at the records that fall after that while the TP stays at zero. I am looking to see if the Injector PW rolls to zero for either front or rear as well as if the Spark Advance table goes to 12.00. The Map Load kPa will also need to be under 14.5. If someone could either verify or dispel it would be much appreciated.

I have noticed on my data recordings that when I let off on zero throttle and the map load drops to anything under 14.5 kPa my Spark advance goes to 12 even though the corresponding lookup in the table is much higher for that particular rpm. I have also noticed that the Injector Pulse Width drops to zero.

The bike needs to be rolling with some RPM's and the tp at zero as in throttle roll off. Idle will not work.

Thanks in advance.

This is what I am looking for. It will be during normal riding when you let off the throttle. The red circles at the bottom are the dips where zero throttle comes into play. I need to know if the injectors are supposed to shut off OR during normal riding does Map Load kPastay above 14.5. As you can see by this graphic, mine is dropping out and shutting off the injectors. The black circles in the grid are the conditions.

I forgot to mention that I get from 4 - 10 frames of this with zero in the injector pulse width and generally 1/3 ormore have spark advance of 12. This particular recording had my weight 220 and my wife's weight (unspecified) on it as well. The throttle roll off was a brief coast. This happens for me everytime according to the data, but only pops on occassion. It pops more often climbing a hill or coasting down one. Sometimes it happens in a curve if I roll off the throttle as well. I can also make a pop in a straight flat line but this is more difficult to do. This at least explains the lean condition, but I can't discern why this is happening. The VE tables in the recording stay in the same range when letting off the throttle so none of the pop is due to the VE being off. The biggest variance is 3 -4 units in either direction but I can't find any records where I heard a pop where it changes more than 1-2 units.

Tick, I just did about an hour of recording last weekend. I hadn't noticed, but my injector pulse width goes to zeroshortly afterdeceleration begins. My timing seems to stay where it should be, however.
This is one deceleration: the injectors shut off about 0.6 seconds into the decel and stayed off until I opened the throttle again at 2534 rpm.
RPM------------3681-----3214
MAP------------13.3------11.5
Throttle----------0%--------0%
Advance Front--32--------30.5
Advance Rear---32.25----30.5
Injector Front----1.76------0
Injector Rear-----1.88------0

I saw MAP drop to 10-11 routinely when decelerating from 3000 rpm at 0 throttle.

murph,
Thanks for the info. Do you ever have popping during any of these times? Also, how many frames would you count for the injectors to be off?

I get the same 0pw thing - between 10 & 12 map load.

No decel popping tho.
at 5 frames/sec shortest duration was 2 frames, longest 18 frames.
least on thise one I have loaded right now . . . .

Ohhh - and GOT CAFFIENE??
eheheh

topfile,
What is your spark advance setting during this time period?

quick snapshot here of a few frames -
ddidn't compare to the other occurances throughout the file - but I'm in a hurry to go shoot pool.
I'll check tomorrow i there's any major differences between this snap and other occurances.
On 07 fatty - SEAC - SE muffs w/baffles overdrilled 50%.
