Default SE Ignition Race Tuner vs. Crane HI-4TC

I'm debating between the SE Ignition Race Tuner part # 32124-04A and the Crane HI-4TC part # 8-3180. I do not have any experience with either product and would appreciate any and all input on both. So far from what I have read the SE will do everything the Crane will do. As far as cost the SE can be bought for $271.96 from Chicago HD and even my local dealer will sell it to me for the same price plus tax. The Crane the HI-4TC plus the interface cable and software part # 8-3220 the price is just under $500. Dollar wise the SE wins but is it a better or equal unit?

I like both the problem is the SE one requires you to have the remote if you need to alter timing, Soo lets say you are on a trip and can not get good fuel and the bike is pinging like crazy you are stuck where as a ign module with adjustments on it you can alter the timing and not end up buring a hole in the piston.

Look at the Daytona Twin Tec products too. 10 built in advance curves with provisions to download a custom curve, adjustable rev limit, single or dual fire, and multi-spark. All internal to the cone, no external module, very clean install. Also check ebay if you want to save money. Kendall Johnson and many other vendors with good reps have ebay stores.

Are the Twin Tec TC88A and the Crane HI-4TC the same unit but with different cosmetics? The Twin Tec is about $40 cheeper than the Crane on several sites. If I can save a few bucks and get the same unit I'll opt to save the money.
