Trouble codes after starting 2019 114 softail Bassani 2-1 SS465 tune from fuel moto. Bike would start idle for a second, then shuts off.

My bike is a 2018 M8 114 Heritage, just installed S&S 465C, S&S fuel pump, S&S camchest, stock lifters, plugs, wires, coils.

what is the problem here? I ordered literally all of these parts from fuel moto at the same time, including the tuner. In the “bike build details” comment block when purchasing, i didn’t mention the fuel pump and camchest. Is that where things got messed up?

when I load a generic 114 with 2-1 pipes stock cam tune it runs and idles, and those trouble codes disappear. The bad tune also says “touring” FLHCS. A touring coil is different than a softail coil to my knowledge? Is that my problem?


i’m proud of myself for doing all of this work in an 80 degree garage while sitting on a 5gal bucket with the bike on a floor jack. Please help me get this thing through the finish line!

 

On a 2018, why did you change the wires and coils?

 

i didn’t, they’re the same stock ones.

i was just trying to say that I didn’t mess with the coils or wires. I’m just wondering if the fuel moto tune is tuned for a touring coil for some reason since the “vehicle info” section on the PV says touring.

do you have an idea what is wrong? It’s obviously the tune since with the stock tune it runs and idles.

 

Ok it's the "installed" that confused me.. My bet would be the wrong map. While you might think they are supposed to be the same, they may not. Call FM, tell them what happened.

i was hoping for an easier solution since FM doesn’t take calls on weekends. Guess I’ll bow out of the 200mile ride tomorrow and be patient
