Intermittent Spin over no Start

Intermittent Spin over no Start
2013 Street Glide 62k miles.
Intermittent spin over no start. No codes. Always starts cold, then if I try to restart immediately after shutting it off, it wont start. Always cranks just wont fire up. If I let it sit a few minutes it will fire up just fine. Sometimes it fire twice in a row sometimes takes a few tries. Runs great when it starts. I rode it 30 miles with no hiccups yesterday.
Fuel pump is priming, and battery has plenty of juice to start the bike.
I know there were older bikes that had problems with fuel lines in the tank getting a pinhole, but I haven’t heard any of the newer 6 gallon tanks having problems with this. I played with the main ignition and the kill switch while it is turning over and neither seem to be bad. Also disconnected the negative side of the battery for 15 mins. No change.
Anyone else had this problem?

seems strange also. my suspect would be the battery. did you load test it? voltage isn't everything. after the original first start, it might not be recovering enough. every time i had issues with any start issue, the battery failure was getting close. charge it and do 2 back to back load tests, the first to remove surface charge and the second to see what the battery is doing, a resistance load bank works best instead of the electronic ac test unless you do it on the machine after each start.

Similar but different...
I rode my newly purchased 2012 Fatboy for 2hrs one evening. The following afternoon when I tried to start, it was turning but it would not start(5x) and after a while it was clanking. Like a hammer. I called the dealer said come pick this thing up and figure it out. When the delivery boy showed up a few days later it started perfectly. A small "puff" of smoke burst out the right side near the starter region.
So I know nothing about what happened and I'm very upset I wasted their time.
Any ideas?
