Default Fuel pump will not prime/starter will not turn over

Mornn
have a 2014 RK, sat all winter with the tender and a tank of fuel.
went to start, dash lights come on, fob reacts with bike, turn dash on, no fuel pump noise
try to start bike, nothing
jumped starter relay, bike cranks over nice, so battery and starter seem ok
Get a U0142 code.
checked, no power going to fuel pump
Any opinion appreciated
Thanks

Well based on the error code, it's already been tested and failed. Clear it and see if it comes back. Without communications to the right hand switch, the ecm/bcm can't see whether the run stop stitch is set to run or the start button is pushed. Typically it's either the control module in the right handle bar or the wires leading to it. You need to make sure that the battery fuse wire has power up to the switch. It will be there at all times. You can turn the ignition on and see if the front brake light switch, right turn signal. emergency flashers work. If they don't, and you verified connections, and power, chances are the module is dead.

RCMs go bad, the connector going to them are fragile and the wires are sensitive, if you had done anything with the right side of the handlebar then it could have easily been that otherwise just another failed part.
