RE: Wiring Harness for a 1980 HD
congrats - does your dad want another son?
first off, it's a FAT BOB.....****not**** a Fat Boy. The Fat Boy was ten years later and not as cool *ducking and running*
you could try your nearest dealership. Give them the part number out of the book. You *DO* have the factory Service Manual and Parts Book, right? You most definitely need those, they are your No 2 requirement after gas.
I know it is very unlikely that the dealer might have it, but they can also do a nationwide search to see if any other dealer has one lying around. I got a 15-year-old New Old Stock loom for my bike ten years back at a parts counter.
Otherwise, most major parts houses such as JIREH offer replacement looms. OEM style and colour coded
