'08 FXD no start, backfires through exhaust
I have an '07 FXDB 117" that was running fine until it dropped the rear cylinder while pulling into the shop. The next day I pulled the plugs and checked them, and they appeared to be fine. Put them back in, and it fired right up. Rode it to work and home the next day without issue. Went to ride it to work yesterday and it started running poorly and backfiring a couple blocks from home, so I turned around and took it home.
Last night I went to look at it and now it won't start and backfires while cranking.
I suspect the crank position sensor, checked codes and there aren't any. Haven't found any reference on testing the sensor with a DVOM. Everything I have found says you test by checking for codes.
Any suggestions?
Thanks guys!
ETA: I have a digital copy of the service manual, but my laptop it's on is currently with my daughter in another city...
