Harleys Proprietary Didgital Diagnostic Equipment

The Scanalyzer also known as the OTC 4000E......long obsolete and first appeared in 1995 for the first EFI models.
They work as intended up to 2007 models. They even still work in limited use on bikes with the 4 pin data link connector.
Newer Harley programming is much better and can do much more than the old Scanalyzer could ever do.

Look in your genuine HD manual for the p/n of the correct scanlyzer. Then google that part and start hunting. With all the HD dealerships going under, you might catch one for sale. I bought a breakout box for my Fuel Injected EVO from a guy who bought a dealership to sell off all the parts and equipment. Got a good deal on it.
I'm like you. Not going to be held hostage by a dealership.

Carl makes a good point....several Dealers are closing. Not a bad idea to see what they might have.
If a person really wants a scanalyzer....
OTC 4000E’s are plentiful plus all the cables.
Cable from Scanalyzer to bike can be made easily from cables from a OTC 4000E kit with cables.
Diagnostic cartridges are the only thing that is hard to find. I’ve been lucky to find both the -95 and the -97 cartridges. Even picked up a Buell diagnostic cartridge as as well.
