On this model....fault codes come through flashes of the check engine light. Not the odometer.

Computer codes are accessed by toggling either the ignition switch a few times. IIRC the procedure is to go ON/OFF/ON/OFF/ON with the switch ending in the ON position. if done correctly, the check engine light will flash rapidly followed by a slower sequence of flashes. Each "sequence" is a two number code, with IIRC one second between the first and second numeral sequences (it takes a bit to see what Im talking about, dont worry, the codes recycle if you miss it the first time around). Do a search on the forum for Magneti Marelli codes and you will find a list of what the number codes mean.
