Default Changed spark plugs, rode, next day no start

Sorry if this isn’t the best forum location for this issue.

i have a 2011 street bob that wouldn’t start for me yesterday. Engine crank seemed normal, but wouldn’t turn over, just some chugs and pops from exhaust/engine. I checked spark plugs and they were pretty black, so purchased new ones, NGK iridium, and installed. Bike started and rode fine after, went out for about 40 minutes.

next day, same issue when attempting to start the bike, engine turns and chugs, a few pops here and there, but won’t run. Buddy suggested non high performance plugs since I have a stock engine, but same issue with different plugs.

any info or ideas are appreciated.

Just a shot , the terminal nut has a tendency to loosen on the plug , which could cause a problem , maybe check to be sure there tight .

indeed, i'm a newbie here!
Battery is about a month and half old or so. i actually recently had the rectifier regulator replaced, and at that time swapped the battery also in fear that it had ruined it with all of the voltage miscues and what not.

Sdak , your bike comes equipped with an IAC valve , get yourself some throttle body cleaner and give it a good cleaning . Place a rag inside the throttle body first to catch all the Cr** and spray it into the IAC , they have a tendency to get gummed up and dirty and will cause what sounds like your issue . You'll notice when you turn the ignition on / off it will cycle open and closed . There are plenty of video's out there that explain how to do it , simple enough .

Also , have you checked for Codes , might help lead you in the right direction .

unfortunately nothing yet, have a busy weekend but am hopeful to spend some time working this week..will post updates for sure!
i'm thinking of testing fuel pressure, just renting the tester from a parts store hopefully.
i had also read on a forum post somewhere that a guy's bike always gave him issues, and one was spark plugs, and either by chance or maybe just superstition, his claim was that for some reason the HD brand spark plugs were the only ones that didn't give him issues.
the thought had crossed my mind of buying plugs again but getting the harley brand like what was in the bike previously....idk
