The wire should only have power when the ignition switch is on, kill switch on, and start button pressed.

There is the problem...

That wire should only have power when ign switch on, kill switch on, transmission in neutral (or clutch lever pulled in), and starter button pressed.

The wire is powered by the Body Control Module.

How many volts are you reading at that wire?

Are there any codes (this is getting out of my knowledge scope...).

Could it be a faulty ignition ( Key Switch ) ? I'm asking because I remember a car me and a buddy were working on that had a starter that wouldn't disengage and it ended up being a bad ignition .

@MyFavRk i don’t think so bc before I unplugged the power wire to the solenoid it would only crank over when I connected the battery I tried it with the key on and switch to run and it fired right up

Ok , just thought I'd mention that experience I had with the car . No doubt that it's a different ignition system , but thought it may be something worth checking .

Faulty starter relay ? I don't want you to start throwing parts at it , just suggestions on what to look at ..

Any recent mods?
Did this problem just occur out of the blue?

I don’t believe this bike has a starter relay, and no new mods only thing different is I put a bad aftermarket battery in got a few clicks then this problem now when I connect the battery it cranks. and the power connection from solenoid to bcm is always throwing voltage since then.
