Finally got around to checking over a few things with the Harley and was able to get out for a test drive. I had my battery tested at the autopart store its a ThrottleX battery 386 cold cranking amps, so no problems there. I read that a symptom of a bad Throttle Positioning Sensor can be idle surges which is exactly what I am experiencing, however I am not getting any TPS error codes when i run the diagnostic. Not only that my check engine light isn't even on. I did clean the **** out of the Idle air control valve and indeed it was pretty dirty. After a short test drive, no issues, so far so good.
Hopefully this was the right fix, simple and easy, I HOPE. Time will tell, I will keep you updated.
