FXR won't start

Disconnect the points wire at the coil and with switch on, check voltage on each screw post of coil - should be close to 12v (battery voltage) on both sides. If not, replace the coil. If it does have 12v on each, replace the condenser.

If you get impatient waiting for the correct nosecone condenser, you can use any automotive type condenser to make it run. Ground the body and connect the wire end to the negative (points) side of the coil.
Won't be pretty, but it'll work

Update... I got it started with jumper cables as the battery was completely drained and it was still running unstably. To rule out the carburetor I reset it to manufacturer standards but that was no help. I rode it down the street and after a shaky start is would struggle for 6 compressions then die for 3 and repeated this until it finally died without restarting. Andy ideas? Thanks
Listen to T150vej...
Charge the battery and have it load tested, until you know that you have a battery in good working condition you are just chasing your tail.
