Default Rear turn signal/brake light conversion

Hello All,
Has anyone installed the kit that changes your rear turn signals into running and brake lights ? What is the difficulty level on a do it yourself install ? It looks pretty simple in that it appears all you have to do is plug the converter inline (somewhere), and change the lens to the red one's supplied with the kit. I wish Harley would put instructions on the back of the package. This would be for an 06 FLHT/I.
Thanks,

it's a pretty straight forward install, it just plugs in under the seat .... at least it did on my 05 flhrc-i

Check with your dealer to make sure this kit fits a 96. I know they changed the sportster in 06 and the old kit would not fit. The instructions are simple. You just remove your seat, unplug the harness and plug the inline converter in. Then secure the converter box (easy to do) with a wire tie to the frame so it doesn't bounce around or get smashed under the seat. Remove your old turn signal lenses, replace the bulbs with the supplied bulbs and put the new red lenses on.

Actually Kuryakyn makes the kit that turns your turn signals into running lights also. The HD kit just changes them to brake lights. They do not come on as running lights.

capt42a, do you have the part #'s for the HD kit?

terryt1955, do you have the numbers for the Kuryakyn kit?

Both sound like they would add saftey when riding ... every bit helps.
